Notary in Lombok and Indonesia in general is a publicly commissioned official who serves as an impartial witness to the signing of a legal document as well as register it to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
In Lombok, a notary is also and always a Land Titles Registrar Official (LTRO). The difference between the two is that Notary’s jurisdiction is nation wide, meanwhile a LTRO’s jurisdiction is as limited as certain regional area where the notary is domiciled.

What Does A Notary Ex Officio LTRO Do
Notary Public
A notary drafts a contract or statement , incorporation act, power of attorney, wills, affidavit, fiduciary, auction minutes etc. and authenticates it by giving his/her signature and seal it after the parties concerned giving their mutual agreement and respective signatures, and then registers it to the the Ministry of Justice.
A notary is also authorizes, witness and seal a pre-made document and document copy to prove that the copy is the same with the original one.
LTRO
A LTRO drafts Deed of Sales, mortgage or lease agreement of a property and real estate and other official transactional documents. Similar to his/her role as a notary, LTRO witnesses and authenticates the document after being mutually agreed and signed by involving parties and then register it to the Land Office and other relevant government agents.
However, please note that despite of two different oaths of office, in daily conversation we refer to both notary and LTRO as just notary.
